Penny's early school years in Portland showed she was adept at mathematics. She has traveled to Massachusetts to further her studies in the science of Cryptography, the breaking of codes and strange languages, and is now attending Miskatonic University in Arkham. She spends much of her free time in the University's Library studying and searching for more complex problems to solve.
